On Tuesday, AutoZone announced the launch of Duralast GT brake pads. As part of the campaign will sponsor the No. 22 Team Penske Ford Fusion at Martinsville Speedway on April 2

Logano has already tested the new product. He ran Duralast brakes on his winning Clash car at Daytona on February 19.

“I was blown away by Duralast GT’s high performance and stopping power,” Logano said. “They stood up to every test.

“AutoZone asked me to take part in their national advertising campaign, and it was a lot of fun using a Ford Performance Mustang GT to push the limits of the brakes. It’s exciting to have Duralast GT on the No. 22 Ford Fusion, and I look forward to continuing the partnership with AutoZone.”

Logano is currently fifth in the Monster Energy Cup standings. He’s one of just three Cup drivers to score top-10 finishes in the first to races of the 2017 NASCAR season. Logano has 17 Cup  wins in 293 starts. He’s earned 15 victories since joining Team Penske in 2013.

AutoZone currently enjoys a multi-year relationship with Team Penske. In addition to sponsoring cars, Logano will use the Duralast GT brake pads in competition and various tests throughout the 2017 season. Duralast will rely on Logano’s realtime reviews to continually improve the product.

Until now, there hasn’t been a brake pad on the market that delivers the extraordinary stopping power you witness in stock car racing redesigned for the streets,” said Troy Hitchcock, Vice President, Merchandising, AutoZone. “Duralast GT is geared toward drivers in search of high-performance stopping power at all temperatures, and it is a great option for street and track racing, heavy-duty truck hauling and towing, and fleet and pursuit use.”
