Recap: Joey Logano just missed earning his first-career pole at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon and will start second in Sunday’s Brickyard 400 in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion for the second-consecutive week. With the unique qualifying format, Logano was able to make it to the final round of 12 after posting the fourth fastest lap in the first session. Logano then turned a lap of 49.143 seconds, just 0.087 seconds off the pole winning time of Carl Edwards. The second-place effort is Logano’s 14th top-10 start of 2015.
