Recap: Joey Logano led Team Penske’s qualifying efforts on Friday evening at Texas Motor Speedway in what was a banner day for Ford Performance and Roush-Yates Engines, which swept the top-five spots in qualifying for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event. Logano struggled in the first round, but crew chief Todd Gordon found some life in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford in round two with Logano eventually turning in the fourth quickest lap in the final session.
Coverage: The second practice session of the weekend will begin tomorrow at 9:30 am ET on FS1. Final practice can be seen on FS2 beginning at 12:00 pm ET. Race coverage will begin Sunday at 1:30 pm ET on FOX, PRN and NASCAR Sirius XM Channel 90.
