“I think we are running as well as we have all year long. The last several races, we have been a car that can win the race on any given weekend and we have won races. We won at Watkins Glen and at Bristol and I think we were a winning car at Darlington, but the final restart just didn’t pan out for us and we didn’t have enough laps to make it up. But we are running up front and leading laps every week. And this is the time of the year where you need to be doing that. We just need to keep the momentum going. It’s really important to get your Chase off to a good start. Getting that first race under your belt and getting a good finish is important. Right now, I’d put my team up against any other in the garage. We just need to keep it going. As Todd (Gordon) says, we need to ‘keep doing what we do.’”
